Our fishing stretches consist of Austkilskogen, Holmene and Sonoset, and our fishermen have access to around two kilometers of river every day, fishing from both sides. The nearest stretches are within walking distance.
Holmene:
A stretch of about 700 meters that has changed very positively in recent years. Here the river flows from side to side. At the top and bottom there are strong currents. The upper half you can only fish from the side of the road.
This is a nice fly fishing spot, and with lots of back space, a dream place for those who may not master the speying technique. At high water, you don't need to wade far out because the salmon can often be found at the edge of the grass.
On both sides of the river there is a shelter.
We have access to Holmene every other day alternating with Sonoset.
Sonoset:
A stretch of about 500 meters that includes the outlet of the tributary river Sona. A dream spot for those who like some challenging fishing spots. The pool midways holds a lot of salmon, some of which are quite large.
Sonoset is a very nice fly stretch, and holds also some sea trouts later in the summer.
Best to fish from the south side, where you will also find a nice place to stay, right by the parking lot.
We have access to Sonoset every other day alternating with Holmene.
Austkilskogen:
Austkilskogen is our longest stretch of about 1300 meters. A relatively calm river on low or medium water. The inlet to the main pool is a very good place. The salmon have their stands here among large stones that are well spread down the upper part of the stretch. At the lower part, the river widens out.
Fly fishing here can be an interesting experience, whether you wade far out into the river with long casts or you try your luck closer to bank. Austkilskogen is also great for sea trout fishing on dark August evenings.
There is a row boat to cross the river and shelters on both sides.
You will have access to Austkilskogen every day.
